If you wish to join Indian Civil service, you must know how the recruitment is done.

Recruitment is through the competitive examination conducted by UPSC at Central level. UPSC conducts Examinations every year to recruit young persons for the civil services.

* UPSC examination has three stages:

1) Preliminary –This is a Qualifying Test

2) Mains- Written Test

3) Interview.

UPSC Preliminary Examination is of Objective Type. Successful candidates in preliminary are eligible for the Mains examination.

 

Mains examination is descriptive type. The papers are of Graduate level.

Candidate has to select 2 optional subjects.

 Written test is followed by interview.
